The Commissioner for Urban Administration at the Ministry of Local Government, Mr. Charles Magumba, is today monitoring the ongoing Local Council I (LC I) elections across Masaka City as part of the ministry’s oversight mandate to ensure that the electoral process is conducted in accordance with established laws and guidelines. The monitoring exercise involves assessing compliance with electoral procedures, observing the conduct of election officials, and engaging with local leaders and residents to promote transparency, accountability, and orderly electoral management. Reports from various polling areas indicate that the elections have so far been conducted in a calm and peaceful atmosphere, with voters exercising their democratic rights in an orderly manner, reflecting the city’s commitment to a credible and peaceful electoral process.
