The Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development have organised a specialised training program to guide local governments in designing and publishing 40 Local Government Revenue Enhancement Plans (LREPs).
Implemented under the Second Resource Enhancement and Accountability Program (REAP II), the initiative is designed to operationalise the Local Government Own Source Resource Mobilisation Strategy for FY 2026/27 – 2031/32.
The training has officially kicked off today, Monday, September 28, 2026, at Hotel Brovad, Masaka. It has brought together key officers, including Heads of Finance, Planners, and Principal and Senior Finance Officers from districts across the region, including Sembabule, Rakai, Buvuma, Butambala, Lwengo, and Kassanda District Local Governments.
