The Ministry of Local Government, through the Department of District Inspection led by Principal Inspector Mr. Charles Mwijukye, has conducted a support supervision visit in Buhweju District following the Honourable Minister’s anti- corruption campaign initiative.
This is part of a broader Ministry arrangement also happening in other local governments that is aimed at assessing the impact of the interdiction of some government staff on service delivery.
The affected local governments have put measures in place by assigning responsibilities and duties to other staff to ensure that service delivery continues uninterrupted as investigations into the cases remain ongoing.
The Ministry is providing technical guidance and support to local governments while encouraging district leadership and technical teams to implement the recommendations and directives issued by the Honourable Minister for Local Government.
