The Minister of State for Local Government, Hon. Justine Nameere Nsubuga, earlier today visited Bugwere High School, where she interacted with the headteacher and students during an assessment of learning and school operations.
The Minister inspected ongoing classroom construction projects at the school to assess the progress of the works.
Hon. Nameere also sought clarification from the headteacher on how government resources received by the school were being utilised and whether they were serving their intended purpose.
The headteacher briefed the Minister on the school’s operations and challenges, noting that the majority of teachers at the school are privately recruited and are not on the government payroll.
Hon. Nameere also engaged students on their learning experiences and some of the challenges they face at the school.
The assessment found the school generally operating well, with no major concerns identified during the visit.
