The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Masindi District, Samuel Ruhweza Kaija, has urged lower local government leaders from Bujenje County to strengthen revenue mobilisation, accountability and supervision to improve service delivery.
Kaija made the call while officially opening a three day induction organised by the Ministry of Local Government (MoLG) through the Department of Local Councils Development.
He emphasised that effective revenue collection and close supervision of technical staff are essential for preventing revenue leakages, managing public resources responsibly and financing planned development projects.
The three day induction is equipping lower local government leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to fulfil their responsibilities effectively and respond better to the needs of their communities.
The training underscores MoLG’s commitment to strengthening local leadership, accountability and service delivery at the grassroots.
