Mbale, Wanale Sub-county —
Local Government ministers conducted an inspection of road infrastructure in Wanale Sub-county as part of efforts to assess the condition of community roads and monitor ongoing development projects.
During the inspection, the ministers sought explanations from the project engineer regarding concerns raised about the road works. However, when called upon to respond to questions, the engineer reportedly left the area before addressing the officials. Witnesses alleged that the engineer fled out of fear of being arrested, although no official statement has been issued confirming the reason for his departure.
Following the road inspection, the ministers proceeded to Bukoba Primary School, where they met with school leaders, community members, and local officials. During the visit, they acknowledged the challenges facing the school and pledged government support to improve learning conditions and promote community development.
The ministers assured residents that they would work with the relevant authorities to address the needs of Bukoba Primary School and support initiatives aimed at improving both education and infrastructure in the area. Community members welcomed the commitment and expressed hope that the promises would translate into tangible improvements for the school and the surrounding community.
