The State Minister of Local Government Justine Nameere Nsubuga, will tomorrow, 16th July 2026, officially launch the construction of Community Access Roads under the Rural Development and Food Security (RUDSEC) Project during a ceremony to be held in Pader District.
The launch will mark the commencement of construction works on four community access roads across Agago, Lamwo and Pader districts.
The road projects to be launched include:
Kalongo Lomoi Road, Section A (15km) – Agago District, to be constructed by Safe Green (U) Ltd.
Kalongo–Lomoi Road, Section B (14.9km) – Agago District, to be constructed by Strakon Ltd.
Corner Ogwec–Tenten Road (21.6km) – Lamwo District, to be constructed by Nabet Construction Ltd.
Puranga–Ogonyo–Achola Stream Road (18km) – Pader District, to be constructed by Unified Investment Co. Ltd.
The RUDSEC Project is expected to improve access to agricultural production areas, lower transportation costs, facilitate the movement of goods and services, and stimulate local economic development, contributing to improved livelihoods for communities across Northern Uganda.
