Hon. Barugahara Balaam and Hon. Justine Nameere are today visiting the Nyendo Mukungwe Seed Secondary School project, a development being implemented under the Uganda Secondary Education Expansion Project (USEEP).
The visit is aimed at assessing the progress of the seed school project, which is part of government efforts to expand access to quality secondary education and improve learning infrastructure across Uganda.
The Nyendo Mukungwe Seed Secondary School project is estimated to cost approximately 3.3 billion Uganda shillings. Once completed, the project is expected to provide increased opportunities for learners in the area by creating a modern learning environment that supports secondary education.
However, concerns have been raised over the pace of construction works. The project is expected to be completed within 10 months, but two months have already elapsed with limited progress on the ground. The concern now is whether the contractor will be able to complete the project within the remaining eight months.
During the visit, Hon. Barugahara Balaam and Hon. Justine Nameere are assessing the ongoing works and emphasizing the need for timely completion of the project to ensure that learners and the surrounding community benefit from the new school facilities.
The Uganda Secondary Education Expansion Project (USEEP) continues to support the establishment of more secondary schools across the country as part of efforts to improve access to education.
