Nansana Municipality -Hon. Barugahara Balaam Ateenyi, the Minister of Local Government, has today arrived in Buwambo Parish, Nansana Municipality for a Parish Development Model (PDM) assessment.
The minister is engaging with local leaders and beneficiaries to address challenges affecting the program and listen to community concerns.
Addressing residents, Hon. Balaam said:
“What has brought me here is to sort the PDM issues. His Excellency the President has sent me here to sort out the issues.”
The visit is part of the wider “Expose the Corrupt in Local Government” campaign, which focuses on alleged abuse of the PDM and other public funds. The President recently directed Hon. Balaam to investigate allegations of theft and misuse of PDM funds in several areas including Buwambo.
Hon. Balaam has assured residents that government will not spare those misusing PDM funds and other government property, and that all implicated officials will be held accountable.
