The LCV Chairperson of Sironko District, Hon. Alex Nabende Gugga, today witnessed the handover ceremony in the CAO’s boardroom between the outgoing Deputy CAO, Mr. Edward Eko, who has been transferred to Amudat District, and the incoming Deputy CAO, Mr. Jino Jesmien Lokol.
In his remarks, the Chairperson expressed disappointment over the state of affairs in the district. He noted that during routine monitoring he found that some staff had remained in one station for over 10 years, with most serving in acting capacities without official letters. He further decried cases where highly qualified officers were working under less qualified supervisors.
To address the gaps, the Chairperson summoned Heads of Departments to ensure proper alignment for effective service delivery.
Chairman Gugga said he is determined to break the one-term record for LCV Chairpersons in Sironko, noting that this can only be achieved through cooperation between the technical and political wings. “When technocrats work, we work. When they fail, we all fail,” he said.
He welcomed the new Deputy CAO to Sironko and pledged full cooperation and support to ensure service delivery. He also commended the outgoing Deputy CAO, Mr. Edward Eko, for presenting exemplary handover report.
