Buliisa, September 30, 2026 – A section of high level Stakeholders in Bunyoro have convened at the Buliisa District Resource Centre for a validation meeting for the Bunyoro Integrated Affirmative Development Plan (BIADP) 2027-2036.
The meeting was presided over by the Minister for Bunyoro Affairs, Hon. Mary Grace Mugasa, and brought together key district leaders and technical staff to review and enrich the draft 10-year comprehensive development blueprint for the Bunyoro sub-region.
In attendance was the Buliisa District Chairperson, Hon. Wandera Atuhairwe Twaili, the Deputy RDC Mr. Tumukurate Sylvester, and the Chief Administrative Officer Prof. Dr. CSL Levi Musinguzi Bahemuka, alongside other stakeholders especially from the District Council and Urban local governments.
The BIADP aims to address critical development issues affecting Bunyoro, including infrastructure, livelihoods, oil and gas impacts, environmental conservation, education and health, to ensure inclusive and affirmative development for the next decade.
The validation exercise is intended to collect stakeholder views to ensure the final plan reflects the real needs and aspirations of the people of Buliisa and Bunyoro as a whole.
