KASESE — Minister of Local Government, Hon. Balaam Barugahara, on his way to Kasese District to meet local leaders, made an impromptu stop at Hima Health Centre III after residents raised urgent issues that required immediate attention from responsible authorities.
According to officials at the facility, Hima Health Centre III serves a growing population in the town council, and local leaders have in recent months called for government intervention to upgrade health services in the area.
Faced with issues that cut across health, administration, and service delivery, Hon. Balaam said the matters could not be handled on the spot without the district leadership present.
In response, the Minister asked residents to converge at the Kasese District Hall, where he will be chairing a special meeting to table all outstanding issues before the relevant leaders.
“Since the leaders responsible are available at the district, let us meet there so that we address all your concerns collectively and get resolutions,” the Minister told the residents at Hima.
