Following the NRM Caucus meeting held in Munyonyo on August 8 and subsequent guidance from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on the Parish Development Model (PDM), key stakeholders convened at the Office of the Prime Minister to review the programme’s progress and chart the next course of action.
The meeting, held under the auspices of the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister, brought together key stakeholders involved in the implementation of PDM to assess the journey so far, emerging priorities and areas requiring further action.
Minister of State for Local Government Hon. Justine Nameere Nsubuga , PDM National Coordinator Ssozi Galabuzi and Permanent Secretary Ben Kumumanya presented updates on the implementation of the programme, highlighting progress registered and proposals for strengthening PDM going forward.
The engagement follows the President’s recent remarks and recommendations on PDM and forms part of continued efforts to strengthen implementation of the programme and ensure it delivers its intended goal of improving household incomes and livelihoods across the country.
