Day Four of the Training of Trainers for the Induction of Local Government Councils has taken a practical turn in Masaka, with participants stepping into the roles of council leaders in a mock council session.
The practical exercise is bringing council proceedings to life as trainers simulate an actual council meeting, applying the rules of procedure, managing council business and demonstrating how councils are expected to conduct their business.
The session under Module IV: Management of Council and Council Rules of Procedure is designed to equip trainers with practical skills they will pass on to newly elected Local Government leaders.
With participants taking on different council roles, the exercise provides a hands-on opportunity to test their understanding, build confidence and prepare them to effectively guide councils once the induction programme begins.
