The Ministry of Local Government has successfully concluded a two-day orientation workshop in Basic Bookkeeping Skills for Health Facility In-Charges from Lower Local Governments. Organized in Lira City under the Resource Enhancement and Accountability Programme (REAP) the officers have been trained on health facility management, accountability, reporting, leadership, and effective service delivery.
The workshop strengthened participants’ capacity to manage health facilities more efficiently, enhance accountability and compliance with government guidelines, and improve the quality of healthcare services provided to communities. Through interactive sessions and practical discussions, participants gained valuable knowledge and tools to support better decision-making and performance at their respective health facilities.
